Great Information From New Friends

Our thanks to Stephanie Fix, Marketing Programs Manager at UC Irvine Extension Program, who shared the different offerings of UCI’s three branches of continuing education programs for both personal and professional development. These are: UCI Extension – continuing education courses; Access UCI – online courses from a national wide network of educational institutions; and Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI) – a membership organization for adults who want to extend their knowledge. In addition, SueEllen O’Connor, offered her experiences and how easy it was to sign up as a volunteer in our public schools. She invited others to join her and expressed how important and needed volunteers were. She and Anne Gordinier, another long time volunteer, shared their experiences tutoring and helping students get a leg up on learning.
